The Wonder

The ideas that inspired this song were from Orkney poet George Mackay Brown’s poem Finished Fragrance. “I have a deep-rooted belief that what has once existed can never die:  not even the frailest things, spindrift or clover-scent or glitter of star on a wet stone.  All is gathered in to the web of creation, that is apparently established and yet perhaps only a dream in the eternal mind.”

Lyrics

And this is the wonder of it all
The wonder of it all, the wonder of it all
That we are bound together for all time
Where all is gathered in, all is gathered in
All is gathered in and we are bound together for all time
There is a web that stretches into forever
Not even the frailest things can ever die
